How sublimation actually works

The dye turns to gas under heat and bonds inside the polyester filament itself.

There is no ink layer on the surface, which is why the print cannot crack or peel.

Polyamide does not take the dye

It stays lighter, so a 70/30 blend renders the same file softer than an 80/20 does.

The effect is most visible in deep solids and least visible in light, airy artwork.

Which blend to pick

Choose the higher polyester content when the cloth is carrying a brand mark for display.

Choose the higher polyamide when the cloth will genuinely be used to clean every day.

Designing for the softer render

Increase contrast rather than saturation, and avoid relying on a single deep solid.
